This coffee is a steal. As others have said, it punches well above its price. This is our new favorite "daily driver" coffee. It's cheap enough that it makes a great gift as well if you're looking for something you can roast and give to friends without breaking the bank. We got the first three pound bag as part of the 3x3lb South American sampler pack. The other two were good but not amazing. Bought another five lbs of this one though. It's just incredible. Anything from city --> full city. Could maybe go darker but I don't think that's what it's suited to. Pretty forgiving in terms of roasting. And the flavors are just awesome. If you're thinking about getting some, do it. You will not be disappointed. Great balance of lightness/floral and everything that South American - and I think Guatemalan coffees in particular are known for - but with the fullness you don't always get. Even with a lot of milk - my wife likes 16oz lattes - this coffee has the profile to carry it. But it's great in a low-milk/no-milk drink as well. Using my trusty old Behmor 1600 on P2 setting.

I was very happy that I could roast a 1/2 lb medium and get fruity and rich flavor that was buttery. I did a 1/2 lb medium dark that was chocolaty/ smooth and flavorful. Pleasant after taste also on both. Enjoyable..

We ordered 25lbs of this one, and we were blown away at how good it was. Everything you expect from a Guatemala but also has this incredible chocolate/fruit taste finish that we have been raving about since the first cup. We have gotten used to lighter roasts so everything we drink now is city roast or lighter, so we can't speak to darker roasts with this coffee but it is going on our regular order list for sure.

Chocolate and caramel is absolutely right! I was aiming for more of a medium roast, and was dismayed at first because I let it get to a rolling second crack on accident. But that turned out to be perfect. It feels smooth like a Kona or a Java, with very little bitterness. I did slow down the roast for the browning phase, which I think was a great choice because the roast is very sweet. The chocolate's definitely more of a milk chocolate than a dark chocolate, and the caramel verges almost on molasses. Very smooth. I will definitely get these again.

Roasted in my confection oven at 480 degrees for 10 mins . Turned a medium roast . Very nutty and just right chocolate taste with slightly sweet taste on the end . 8.5 my taste

Just fantastic. Can't believe it costs less than the regular Antigua. Don't tell CBC! Roasted in an SR800 with ext tube. Progressed a little slower than most, 1st crack occurred about 20° hotter than usual. Took to about Full City. Rested 3 days. Wonderful aroma while grinding told me this was special. Brewed in a Chemex. I test new coffees on my wife. I don't tell her it's a new one, and wait for her reaction. "Wow, is this ever good!" Yep! Certainly chocolatey and nutty. Well-balanced for sure Brighter than expected, and a little fruity on the back end, but no particular fruit. Gets even more chocolatey as it cools. Smooth, buttery mouthfeel that stays with you. Just an awesome cup of coffee.
